English is an essential skill for students in Pakistan, whether for academic success, job opportunities, or everyday communication. However, many learners face challenges like grammar mistakes, sentence structure issues, and vocabulary gaps.
In this blog, we’ll share easy and practical grammar tips that Pakistani students can follow to improve their English quickly.
Before learning advanced grammar, master the eight parts of speech:
Noun – names of people, places, or things (Lahore, book)
Pronoun – replaces a noun (he, she, it)
Verb – action words (run, eat, study)
Adjective – describes a noun (beautiful, tall)
Adverb – describes a verb (quickly, happily)
Preposition – shows relationship (in, on, at)
Conjunction – connects words (and, but, because)
Interjection – shows emotion (Wow! Oh no!)
💡 Tip: Practice by writing 5 sentences every day using different parts of speech.
Tenses tell us the time of an action. The main types are:
Present (I eat breakfast every day.)
Past (I ate breakfast yesterday.)
Future (I will eat breakfast tomorrow.)
✅ Tip: Read English newspapers like Dawn or The News International and highlight tense usage.
Pakistani students often mix up:
Its vs It’s → Its = possession, It’s = It is.
Your vs You’re → Your = possession, You’re = You are.
Then vs Than → Then = time, Than = comparison.
Start with a subject + verb + object.
Example: Ali (subject) is reading (verb) a book (object).
Avoid too many long sentences — break them into shorter, clear ones.
Write a daily diary in English.
Speak with friends in English.
Watch English movies or dramas with subtitles.
